We had a glorious day today. We spent time with the team heading north to Aomori in a couple of days. They will be building a church. They are 7 strong from PA. A great group of people who love the Lord. They are Kathie, Takashi, Warren, Steve, Rich, Al & Joe. Those they will be serving will be blessed by their spirits. They are awesome. We look forward to hearing more about their work, but especially just hearing from them. We love you guys!

Steve Weems gave an awesome presentation. He made the day fun, informative and God-driven. Thanks to you, Georgia, Ruth and all of the other folks whose names I won’t remember, but whose
hearts we will never forget. We were learning more about the Japanese culture. Do’s and don’ts. Phrases and ideas that will help us acclimate.

Our reason and purpose is to pray for the people of Japan. To love on them as Christ would and to obey His commission in Matt: 28:19 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit..”

We’re Here!

We made it safe and sound, praise the Lord!
We’re tired, but looking forward to the journey. Love to all of you and do keep us in your prayers.

Heading on Out

Yatta! Today begins the journey.  Those of us from South Carolina will begin the first leg of the journey at 6:00 AM, followed by the Boston group at 11:00 AM. Then, all of us together will make the great trek to the other side of the world while you all are happily eating your lunches.

As a side note, that happens to be a time when people commonly pray.  And amazingly enough, we would appreciate it if you’d take a moment to say a prayer for us whilst you are also being thankful for the delightful morsel of whatever you happen to find before you.

As the excitement builds, I finally find myself all packed up (I really need to stop procrastinating so much some day…).  We’ll be flying in a Boeing 777 to Japan for those who would like to know, and we’ll be in the air for about 13~14 hours. So, hopefully we’ll still be able to walk after flying for so long.  Being able to walk is a very important part of prayer walking, after all.

Thank you all very much for your prayers and support! God bless!  We’ll keep you posted as more develops!

Japan Prayer Walk

Cheryl & I met last month on the Daily Audio Bible Forum when I asked her to pray for my son & she asked for prayers for  Japan. I felt a real tug on my heart to pray for Japan and began lifting up to Jesus the two cities her team would be going to visit at the end of June: Tokyo & Yokohama.

So begins our journey together….. you are invited to walk with us. As you read on you will meet the team members who are going on this prayerwalk for Japan.

The rest of us will be here on the virtual path walking & praying as we are led with the Spirit’s guidance each day.I am looking forward to meeting all the friends, family and prayer supporters of this wonderful team. I hope to be uploading real time photos & updates of the  journey.

We leave Boston, MA and Columbia, SC on the morning of 6/24. We will meet up at Dulles International- flying from our capital to Japan’s capital! We are  a team of 7 ground members and as diverse as they come! Our prayer partners of 5 per ground member brings our official team total to 42- that’s a big team!!

The Lord is delighted that we want to join with Him to be a part of this special mission.

Well, lets get started… by meeting the team!
